Introduction: Foliage Separator in potato processing

Processing (seed) potatoes generates dust, and foliage has become an increasing problem. While separating foliage from the product flow is difficult with machinery, air technology achieves good results. A combination of blowing and suction, also known as wind shifting, allows the foliage to be removed from the product flow. Jongejans Luchttechniek BV, an extraction specialist in the agricultural sector, has developed a special Foliage Separator for this purpose. The foliage is collected (separately) in a box, and the dust it carries is extracted and filtered. This solves two problems:Get started with one installation! For more information, please contact René Looijesteijn, tel. 0223-660666.

The leaves are removed from the product flow by wind shifting. The Foliage Separator can be installed both indoors and outdoors, saving space in the shed.
