AWEX offers a solution for dust, skin and seal fumes with extraction!

Over the years, Jongejans Luchttechniek has become a household name in extraction systems for the agricultural sector. These systems are developed in the Netherlands and installed worldwide at numerous growers and packers. We've encountered many problems with dust or skin, and the solution is found in every system we deliver.

Jongejans recently provided an extraction solution for Awex in Poland. Onion skins and dust are extracted from the supply line and the eight packaging lines. The chain filter system ensures clean onions, which can be packaged free of dust and skins.
In addition, Jongejans has developed a solution for the seal smoke that is released during packaging.

Director Awex, Mr Radoslaw Tyc:
“For the past few years, we had another system for extracting smoke from the seals. But that system left so much of the fume in the building that you could smell it everywhere! Jongejans solved this problem in one fell swoop with a separate extraction system for the smoke from the seals.
Now you can't smell it anywhere anymore!

Jesse Vonk, of Jongejans: "To effectively remove seal smoke from the room, the extraction system must be specifically designed for it. Experience shows that seal smoke is very oily and sticks to everything! When it's extracted together with dust, the ducts quickly become clogged. That's why we extract the smoke separately and have developed a special fan for it. This fan is installed inside or outside the processing room with a small pipe leading outside. This fan doesn't clog like other extraction fans would with this application!"“

All air extracted from the building by one of the 40 (!) carefully positioned dust and skin extraction points is then filtered and returned to the room. Because this clean air is purified and returned at the same temperature, the system also provides a climate-neutral solution in winter. The capacity can be adjusted remotely, ensuring it always meets the current required volume.

Director Awex, Mr. Tyc:
“When the systems were delivered, our technical department was fully trained by Jongejans. This allowed us to implement any changes or modifications ourselves, with Jongejans in Den Helder as a backup. The major advantage for us was that we could continue operating during the installation; the line wasn't down for a single day!”
Another advantage is that the system works completely silently, which is no unnecessary luxury if there is a house right next to it!”
Tyc continues: “We are very satisfied with the service and collaboration with Jongejans. The result exceeds all our expectations, and everything was delivered as agreed!”
