Earlier this year, windshifting was installed at the Christopher Ranch Company in the garlic capital of the world, Gilroy, California, USA.
Four extraction and wind-shifting systems efficiently filter dust, skins, and other debris from the garlic processing line. When crushing garlic for further processing, manual sorting is no longer necessary, and the wind-shifting system saves a significant amount of labor!
When processing light products like garlic, this naturally requires very precise adjustment. Frequency-controlled fans, combined with continuous pressure monitoring, ensure that the extraction capacity is maintained at the preset values.
The system combines cyclonic extraction with a filter system, so that the extracted air is filtered before it is cleaned and blown back into the processing room.
The system is equipped with a PLC and a custom-designed touch panel HMI (Human Machine Interface) for easy operation and information feedback. This also ensures optimal service access from anywhere in the world!
