You will create detailed 3D models, enter materials and bills of materials into our Ridder IQ ERP system, and ensure that our in-house production team knows exactly what needs to be built.
Your designs will not remain on paper. They will be manufactured in our own factory and installed at customers around the world. You will be based in our project office, working closely with colleagues in project management, work preparation, purchasing, and production. This means you will be directly involved throughout the process and will be the first point of contact when technical questions arise.
What we offer
At Jongejans Luchttechniek, you will join a close-knit technical organization with a practical, informal, and down-to-earth working culture.
- A gross monthly salary of €3,000 to €4,000, depending on your qualifications and experience.
- 25 days of annual leave and 13 additional leave days in accordance with the Dutch Metal & Engineering collective labour agreement.
- A strong pension scheme through PMT.
- A comprehensive onboarding program covering our installations, production processes, and internal systems.
- Close cooperation with the workshop and colleagues from a range of technical disciplines.
- A supportive team in which colleagues help one another and communication is straightforward.
- Opportunities to progress into work preparation or project management.
- Regular social events, including a summer barbecue, a Christmas market with partners, and our annual Oktoberfest celebration.
What you will do
Together with the Project Manager, you will work on extraction systems for agricultural customers in the Netherlands and abroad. Some projects are based on proven standard designs, while others require tailor-made solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing complete technical designs in SolidWorks.
- Converting site measurements and sketches into accurate, manufacturable 3D models.
- Entering materials, bills of materials, and purchasing requirements into Ridder IQ.
- Independently developing straightforward and standard projects.
- Coordinating more complex projects with the Project Manager.
- Answering technical questions from work preparation and purchasing.
Occasionally, you may visit a customer site to assist with measurements. However, most of your work will be carried out at our office in Den Helder.
Why you will enjoy this role
See your designs become reality
Our installations are built in our own factory. You will quickly see how your designs perform in practice and can discuss improvements directly with the colleagues who manufacture them.
Take ownership of complete projects
You will not simply design individual parts. You will prepare complete projects, ensuring that production has all the technical information and materials needed to move forward.
Work closely with technical colleagues
You will collaborate directly with Project Managers, work preparation, purchasing, and production. There are no lengthy approval processes or complicated communication structures—just direct contact with the people you need.
What you bring
You enjoy turning technical sketches into complete, practical, and production-ready 3D designs. You work accurately, think in practical solutions, and always consider how your designs will be manufactured.
You also have:
- A vocational or higher professional qualification in mechanical engineering, installation engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with 3D CAD software; we use SolidWorks.
- Strong technical insight and a good understanding of manufacturability.
- The ability to work independently and to coordinate with colleagues when required.
